Community Action Commission of Santa Barbara County (CAC) is a private, nonprofit agency whose services improve the quality of life for children, youth, families and seniors. We focus on providing high quality, early childhood education; education and mentoring for at-risk youth; nutritious meals for children and seniors; and energy services to make homes safe, warm and energy efficient.

CAC provides healthy, USDA-approved meals for low-income seniors Monday through Friday at the Dick DeWees Community Center. CAC provides Head Start to 200 children in five nationally accredited centers for the Education of Young Children. Additionally, our Lompoc Youth Corps provides life-changing experiences for at-risk youth including, jobs skills and career education, direct work experience and paid stipends, individualized case management, life and health skills education, and support for High School or GED completion, and entry into post-secondary education.
