About Us

The Mission of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Santa Barbara County is to assure a safe, permanent, nurturing home for every abused and/or neglected child by providing a highly trained volunteer to advocate for them in the court system. CASA volunteers are trained community members who act as an extra pair of eyes and ears for the court system. They get to know the child and their situation and advocate for their best interest in the court system. Each year, more than 500 children in Santa Barbara County enter the foster care system. We need more volunteers, especially in Lompoc, to meet the growing need. If you'd like to find out more about volunteering, send an email to volunteer@sbcasa.org to let us know you're interested, or call us at (805) 739-9102 ext. 2594. We look forward to hearing from you!
