Companion Animal Placement Assistance's (CAPA) dedication expands to all animals that enter La PAWS shelter. CAPA offers the highest quality of humane treatment while advocating to find each pet a permanent loving home. CAPA assists the community with low cost veterinary care options as well as responsible pet ownership information to help families properly care for their pets.

Through educational outreach and assisting low income pet owners, CAPA's goal is to greatly reduce the number of unwanted pets in the community, therefore; reducing the number of pets subjected to shelter life.
